Online Editor & Data Manager

We are seeking a technically proficient and detail-oriented Online Editor & Data Manager to join our post-production team. This dual role is critical in ensuring the technical polish of final video deliverables and the secure, efficient handling of all data coming in and out of the studio. You will work closely with colourists, producers, and VFX teams to deliver high-quality, technically accurate masters for broadcast, digital, and social platforms.

Key Responsibilities:


Online Editing:

  • Conform offline edits to high-resolution media and prepare timelines for final mastering.
  • Apply basic VFX, titles, and graphics as needed, ensuring consistency with brand and creative vision.
  • QC and troubleshoot final picture and audio before delivery.
  • Work alongside colourists and VFX teams to ensure smooth transitions of assets.
  • Versioning for different platforms, aspect ratios, and usage.
  • Export and deliver final masters according to technical specifications (broadcast, DCP, social, etc.).


Data Management:

  • Ingest, organise, and archive project media from shoot to final delivery.
  • Maintain a secure and clearly structured file management system across multiple projects.
  • Create and manage proxies, transcodes, and prep for offline editorial workflows when required.
  • Ensure data integrity and backup protocols are strictly followed.
  • Support production with asset management and drive organisation.
  • Coordinate handoffs between editorial, colour and VFX.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years experience in post-production, specifically in online editing and media management.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of video formats, codecs, colour spaces, and delivery standards.
  • Experience with file-based workflows, camera formats (RED, Arri, Sony, etc.), and proxy management.
  • Familiarity with shared storage systems (e.g., NAS, SAN) and asset management tools.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments with multiple deliverables.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a technical problem-solving mindset.


Bonus Skills:

  • Experience with Flame/ Nuke or Baselight is a plus.
  • Understanding of QC standards for UK broadcast or international specs.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based review and delivery platforms (e.g., Frame.io, MASV, Aspera).
  • Offline editing experience.
