New York Motion Post-Producer
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Post-Production Producer to join our growing motion team in New York. This pivotal role will serve as the primary liaison between our UK-based post team and our expanding U.S. client base. As we establish our presence in New York City, the successful candidate will help lead productions, utilising internal talent and remain a point of contact for US based clients, ensuring communication, scheduling and delivery standards are met across time zones and teams.
You’ll work closely with production, colourists, VFX artists, and clients to ensure smooth project execution — while contributing to the development of workflows and relationships that support the studio’s growth in the U.S. market.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Producing:
- Oversee the post-production process from project kickoff to delivery, including timelines, budgets, and team resourcing.
- Act as the primary point of contact for U.S.-based clients, managing expectations and maintaining clear communication.
- Coordinate across departments and across time zones to keep projects moving smoothly.
- Manage review and approval cycles using platforms like Frame.io, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Support client sessions (remote or in-person) and ensure smooth delivery of all final assets.
- Track and report project status regularly to UK-based leadership.
Team & Workflow Coordination:
- Collaborate with UK-based post teams to manage handovers and maintain schedule continuity across different time zones.
- Coordinate freelance talent locally when necessary (editors, assistants, operators, etc.).
- Assist Head of Production with defining and refining workflows specific to the NY studio as it grows, ensuring standards are met as per the other sites.
- Contribute to building out local vendor and freelance networks.
Client Relationship & Studio Growth:
- Represent the studio in meetings and sessions, maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
- Help grow and maintain client relationships with agencies, brands, and production companies in the U.S.
- Report back to UK-based leadership team to ensure local client needs are met.
- Provide input on infrastructure needs and team development as the studio scales in New York.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years experience as a post producer or post supervisor in commercial, film, or content production.
- Strong understanding of post-production workflows across editing, color grading, sound, and VFX.
- Confident managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent budgeting and forecasting skills.
- Excellent communication skills — with experience liaising directly with clients, directors, and creative stakeholders.
- Familiarity with delivery specs for broadcast, digital, and social platforms.
- Proficiency with project tracking and review tools (Frame.io, Asana, Monday.com, etc.).
Nice to Have:
- Experience working in a cross-continental or remote team setup.
- Knowledge of advertising agency processes or fashion/luxury brand content delivery cycles.
- Familiarity with archiving practices, asset tracking, and delivery systems like Aspera or MASV.
- Network of U.S.-based freelance talent and technical partners.
